Crazy Harry Reid to illegals: "Come on down!"

What's all this talk about Illegal Immigration?

The politicians and pundits have been pounding the airwaves lately in a bi-partisan attack on common sense. They have taken on a crusade to convince us that amnesty isn't really amnesty, it's more like just a different pathway to citizenship for hardworking "undocumented Americans.” In fact, when you really think about it these are just American's without papers. And who doesn't want to take a puppy home from the pound?

Try using that excuse next time the IRS comes knocking. "As a documented American, I've just taken a different pathway to prosperity." Not buying it? Then try just throwing up your hands and telling them, “it’s just too hard!” Or, do what Congress has done and say, "well, it's just impossible to send them back anyways." Oh, wait, that's another subject but it is just the kind of logic we've come to expect from our so-called leaders in Washington. It's hard, the People don't want it but we've screwed up so badly (on purpose), let's just try another idea: Abdicate responsibility entirely.

Can't enforce or obey a law or you just don’t want to? Don't bother. They should all just get hair extensions and call themselves "Paris Hilton." But anyway, here are the simple facts:

If we do want immigrants we do the following:
  1. Open our border to future citizens from countries we like,
  2. Water-board Ted Kennedy (oops, sorry, wrong column...)
  3. Check them for job skills and good health,
  4. Make sure that they have a sponsor (a so-called "safety net") in case they can't earn a living or become disabled,
  5. Have them pledge allegiance to our flag,
  6. Make them learn our language; and,
  7. Have them take a test, that they actually have to pass, on the following:

Then, dismantle all unions under anti-trust laws so when these people do become citizens, and are working here, the free labor market can determine exactly what they are worth.

And that's how you run an economy. That's how you run a country. That's how immigration works. If you don't want it to work throw up your hands and do what the Democrats have always done, tell "your People", "We’ve set the bar too high.” Give up. Never mind. Throw in the towel and capitulate.

And that's how the story goes, and it's called...

The End.
